We’ve received a lot of great user feedback from users at one very large company here in Pittsburgh, PA, that has installed Lopb on more than 25 developer desktops running IBM Rational Application Developer 7.0 and Websphere. They’ve been using Lopb to measure performance improvement of their development environment after upgrading RAM on local machines and also making some changes to their Clearcase server configurations.
The last time we heard from them, they had managed to cut the average time to publish their app to Websphere on their local machine in half, and they saw a 4X improvement when updating resources for their project via Clearcase.

I’m very pleased to announce the release of version 0.4.1. After receiving some very constructive user feedback, we implemented a number of enhancements and bug fixes including:
- periodic csv exports to workspace metadir folder,
- bug fix for stale label/job links,
- moved to java.util.concurrent read/write locks instead of synchronized blocks,
- fixed a few race conditions in the JobManager,
- now displays time for “Last Run”,
- and more
I’ll be publishing an updated aggregator within a day of so. This will allow users to aggregate CSV reports exported from many different machines into one CSV file, which can then be processed with MS-Excel or other spreadsheet and charting tool.
